Businesses, NGOs and government agencies featured among the winners of the inaugural Australian Privacy Awards and the Australian Privacy Medal at a gala dinner held in Sydney tonight.
"The Awards and the Medal are the first of their kind in the world," said Karen Curtis, the Australian Privacy Commissioner.
"They are an important means of recognising and rewarding organisations and individuals who have exhibited a strong commitment to protecting Australians' privacy."
