Really Simple Syndication (RSS)

RSS is a flexible format for sharing information. RSS feeds can be accessed using many different programs and services for example Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.

More information on RSS can be found on Wikipedia and an exhaustive list of RSS readers can be found here. (Note: a normal installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 is not RSS enabled)

By subscribing to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner's RSS feed you can receive instant updates of news from the http://www.privacy.gov.au website and newly posted events to the Privacy Events Calendar.

iCalendar

iCalendar can be used to sync the Privacy Events Calendar with many calendar applications such as Apple iCal, Novell Evolution, Mozilla Sunbird, or Microsoft Outlook (With the free RemoteCalendars plugin)
