What is Privacy Connections?
Hosted by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, Privacy
Connections is a network of private sector privacy professionals in
Australia that seeks to:
- provide a forum for the exchange of ideas relating to good privacy practice;
- promote awareness of privacy developments; and
- enhance interaction between the private sector and the Office of the Privacy
Commissioner.
The network's members include those working in the privacy, compliance, risk
management, legal affairs, customer relations, and law enforcement areas across
a range of industry sectors in Australia.
Privacy Connections activities
Privacy Connections aims to offer the following activities:
- Briefing forums with leading privacy thinkers and practitioners.
- Workshops offering practical guidance on privacy compliance and complaint
handling.
- Involvement in Privacy Awareness Week.
- The formation of groups to develop codes, guidelines and other privacy
solutions.

Who can join Privacy Connections?
Membership is open to anyone who works in a privacy, compliance, risk
management, legal affairs, customer relations, law enforcement or other role
within a private sector organisation in Australia and who has an interest in
privacy practices and solutions. Back to Top
How can I join Privacy Connections?
Simply complete the Privacy
Connections form online. Alternatively, a form can be downloaded (HTML, PDF, Word) and returned by fax, or email. There
is no charge for joining the network.
